Remus Hîrceagă is Partner and Country Manager at ERA Group Romania, where he leads a consulting practice focused on indirect cost optimisation and supply chain strategy for mid-to-large Romanian enterprises. His engagements have delivered measurable results across the Manufacturing and Retail sectors — including cost reductions of up to 51% in electricity procurement - for clients such as ICME ECAB, SOCAR Petroleum, Austrotherm Group, Romcarbon, Rifil, Logistic E. Van Wijk, MaxxAgro, and Elis Pavaje.
Remus brings 30 years of executive leadership in the energy sector to every engagement. As a Board Member of OMV Romania, he was instrumental in the integration of Petrom and Petrom LPG into the OMV Group, holding direct responsibility for commercial operations and union relations. Earlier in his career, he led ExxonMobil's lubricants business in Romania, driving Mobil 1 to become the country's #1 premium automotive lubricant brand.
He is the Founder, Shareholder, and former CEO of Țiriac Energy, one of Romania's leading traders of middle distillates, built in partnership with Rompetrol, OMV Petrom, MOL, NIS, Lotos, and Orlen. His track record spans both the disciplined restructuring of large organizations - Petrom SA and Petrom LPG among them - and the ground-up construction of new ventures, from Țiriac Energy to ERA Group Romania.
Remus holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, along with two international management qualifications from the University of Sheffield and the Open University Business School (OUBS), UK.
