Pursuant to EU legislation, any organisation not publicly funded and employing in excess of 250 individuals was mandated to undertake an Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) assessment by 5th December 2015. This necessitated an appraisal of all facets of energy consumption across all organisational assets. The ESOS assessment exclusively encompassed expenditure where, upon identification of potential savings, such savings would accrue to the organisation.
