Easyfairs primarily operates in two distinct areas. Firstly, they lease out event properties, offering venues for various events. Secondly, they orchestrate approximately 30 of their proprietary events and trade fairs within Belgium, alongside around 230 globally. Easyfairs employs 150 individuals in Belgium and 750 worldwide.
"Easyfairs is a rapidly growing company and, in a growth project, we are mainly active in our core business," says Alain D'Haese, COO & Head of Venues at Easyfairs. "The purchase of specific products or 'common goods', such as photocopiers, is not part of our core business. In general, we pay less attention to cost categories that we know little about and whose contracts are ongoing. When ERA contacted us, we agreed to work together to identify the internal areas in which we did not have specialist purchasing knowledge. We decided to hire ERA to optimise certain categories that cost a lot of money each year and do not need to be renegotiated annually."
