Granngården offers a comprehensive range of products and services for pets, gardens, and agriculture – 'everything for outdoor living!' It operates 109 stores across Sweden.
Established in 1880, the company was part of Lantmännen until 2006, but is now under the ownership of Felleskjøpet, a Nordic group. Granngården employs over 500 staff and reports an annual turnover exceeding two billion.
Granngården held a contract with a reputable supplier but sought assistance in negotiating a new agreement for more sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management across all 109 of its stores.
"Our collaboration with ERA has proven exceptionally effective from the initial contact. We particularly valued their candour and transparency, for instance, when they highlighted early on that we already possessed a favourable contract for our waste management. Nevertheless, we secured an even superior agreement. We maintained a productive dialogue throughout the process and received considerable assistance, not only in achieving cost savings but, equally crucially, in realising time efficiencies. Fundamentally, we now benefit from enhanced management of our various waste streams. Unsorted waste has diminished, and we now have a greater proportion of valuable materials that we can monetise, representing both an economic and environmental benefit."
