Iddink, based in Ede, is one of the largest suppliers of schoolbooks and digital teaching materials for secondary education, serving approximately 300,000 pupils. The company acts as an intermediary between schools and numerous publishers of teaching materials, ultimately delivering book packages to each pupil's residence. The business process is unique: 90% of turnover is generated in August when the teaching materials are dispatched.
Half of the books – 10,000 titles – are rented out, whilst the other half are sold. In addition to the 45 permanent employees, over 400 temporary workers are employed by Iddink daily during the
summer months to complete this challenging logistical operation.
