Swick Mining engaged ERA Group to review several operational spending categories, including fleet, telecommunications, and personal protective equipment (PPE). While ERA's analysis confirmed that fleet and telecommunications expenses were being effectively managed, opportunities were identified to reduce costs and improve efficiency within PPE and uniform procurement.
Working closely with the CFO and site management teams, ERA expanded the project scope from a simple cost review to a broader supply chain assessment. Through its specialist PPE expertise, ERA evaluated supplier arrangements and identified opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve service delivery.
By transitioning from a multiple-supplier model to a unified service approach, Swick Mining was able to simplify product warehousing, delivery, and inventory management while maintaining high service standards.
