Rocket Dog, the global footwear brand, partnered with ERA Group to review its third-party logistics (3PL) operation ahead of a contract renewal. While the company had a strong existing relationship with its logistics provider, rising costs and changing market conditions created an opportunity to assess whether its supply chain was operating as efficiently as possible.
ERA Group's logistics specialists conducted a detailed review of warehousing, fulfilment, distribution, reporting and commercial terms. By benchmarking costs against the wider market and challenging existing processes, ERA helped Rocket Dog negotiate improved contract terms, enhance operational visibility and strengthen supplier accountability.
The project delivered approximately £180,000 in annual logistics savings, while also introducing stronger KPIs, improved inventory controls, enhanced reporting and better contractual protections. Operational improvements included extending the next-day delivery order cut-off from 3pm to 5pm, improving service for customers and increasing fulfilment flexibility.
Beyond the financial savings, Rocket Dog gained greater control over its logistics operation, improved decision-making capabilities and a more resilient supply chain platform to support future growth. ERA Group continues to provide ongoing support through a long-term partnership focused on continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
