This is the topic I discussed in Argentina Mining. There, I spoke about the urgent need to apply metrics in sustainability, CSR, investment and return — four words that are often used as synonyms, but are not.

I shared the idea that when sustainability is measured, it ceases to be an expense, and when it is planned, it generates returns.
Thanks to the Argentina Mining team for the space, and to my fellow panellists, Paola Pavanello and Agustina Ferreyra Eandi for a presentation with a technical and realistic view of what mine closure entails, HR in mining, and linking sustainability with costs.
Because if I have learned anything over the years, it is that good business decisions are planned and reflected in the impact they leave behind.
Sustainability without cost assessment is unviable.
