Romnes AS has entered into a partnership agreement with ERA Group to analyse a number of cost categories within the company. The goal is to identify specific opportunities for cost savings while also receiving support to implement the measures needed to realise the identified gains.

Romnes AS is one of Norway’s leading suppliers of car parts and workshop equipment to wholesalers, car repair shops, and car dealerships, with branches across much of Southern Norway and headquarters in Skien. The product range includes most wear and service parts, workshop supplies, tools, and various IT solutions.
The agreement between Romnes AS and ERA Group involves a structured review of several cost categories across the business. ERA will assess current cost levels, evaluate existing agreements and solutions against the market, and propose improvement measures. The aim is both to ensure cost-effective operations and to strengthen Romnes’ competitiveness in an aftermarket characterised by fierce competition and high demands on delivery capacity and availability. The Sjekk
The Punkt workshop chain is also included in the collaboration. Sjekk
Punkt is Norway’s largest Norwegian-owned automotive workshop chain, comprising over 250 workshops.
A key aspect of the collaboration is that ERA Group not only provides recommendations but also assists with implementation. This involves practical support in negotiations with suppliers, the implementation of new processes, and monitoring results over time to ensure that the planned savings are actually realised.
“We are impressed by the profound understanding Romnes’s central management team demonstrates regarding the company’s finances and contractual agreements. This has facilitated a robust commencement to our collaboration, and we anticipate identifying and realising gains that will bolster Romnes AS and the Sjekk
Punkt chain going forward,” says Roger Grønset, Account Manager at ERA Group.
For Romnes AS, this project will contribute to establishing a cost-effective platform for sustained growth, whilst enabling the company to maintain its provision of high quality and robust availability to its clientele across Norway.
“The agreement with ERA Group thus marks a strategic move to strengthen both profitability and competitiveness in the years to come,” says CEO Gjert Romnes.
"ERA Group’s approach piqued our curiosity. We are always looking for new opportunities to improve operations and profitability, and we are excited to see the positive effects we can achieve through our collaboration with ERA Group.”
